SAHMs how much tv do you let toddler watch and what other ways do you entertain them?

We go on walks and to the park almost everyday. Do little craft activities, play with toys and run errands. I keep him as busy as I can, but it still seems like I have to play him movies a lot because he gets so bored. Comment what you guys do and how much tv you let them watch. Without judgement, please 😊

My tv is on all day. We usually have to watch moana ( which is a life saver when you're pregnant and just need to sit still for a few) at least once a day but he doesn't sit and watch the entire movie. Both my kids will sit and watch tv for 5-10 min and then run off and play and keep repeating.

Tv time differs. Some days he gets none some days it’s playing off and on all day. We have one car and my husband takes it to work so I’m home all day with my son and I baby sit a 4 month old and I’m 18 weeks pregnant. Our routine (for most days) is he wakes up at 8, we do breakfast. After breakfast we do things together like puzzles, stacking those colored rings and asking him which color is which, read books, and do those shape blocks organizers. So our morning routine is a lot of learning games together. While we are doing that I have Netflix little baby bum on tv. We watch the learning songs and my son absolutely loves them and he has actually learned a lot from them. Around 10/11 he will lay down for nap and wakes up around 12:30/1:00 and then we eat lunch and then he will play with his cars and books and trains and I usually have my hands full at that time baby sitting the other child because she’s still so little and needy. I still try to play with my son as much as I can but I also want him to learn to occupy his self. Days that drag really slow and he’s fussy and bored we will turn on the tv in the afternoon and he watches things like word party and little Einsteins. The spring/summer will be better because it’ll be warmer and we can go on walks and do our door play. Also, when we get a second car I’m hoping I’ll have the energy to take the kiddos out to the library or stuff like that. My son loves books and the library. Also, getting a family membership at the Y soon and wanting to start swim lessons. That’ll be fun

She doesn’t watch TV at all. People ask what her favorite characters are and such and I tell them she doesn’t have any! She don’t watch any technology and won’t until 3.

only one movie a day. usually near the end she loses interest anyway. we play, she plays with sister or by herself. go outside. They keep occupied and our day is really pretty full between feeding times, play, nap, bath time, ect. I will admit by about 7 pm I'm pretty tired and would love to put another show on, every once in a while I do! there is so much more fun to be had than sitting like a zombie in front of the tv.

Am I the only one that has a child that doesn’t like TV? Everyone tells me it is a good thing. However, this mama sometimes wishes he would!!

We only let my son watch 30 min a day. It’s hard- we go outside a lot, on walks and to the park, he plays with toys, we read tons of books. We go to the library and the local kids museum but it’s definitely a lot of work keeping him entertained.

We go to a kids gym a couple blocks from my house and let him run around for 2 hours.
