How to catch them??

Question

Ok, I need ideas on how to catch it kill mice that won't harm my cats or my dogs. My cats like to get into everything and are very curious. My dog also likes to chew on things. I believe the mice are in my walls. I can't afford and exterminator.

Walmart has a $7 metal catch and release thing. It can catch multiple mice and there is no way your for you animals to get hurt by it. 
My boyfriend and I have caught, I think, 6. And the most we caught at one time was 3. Once we caught them we drove about 3 miles to to this creek and let them go out there. 
Now I don't know much about mice, so I don't know if they can or cannot find their way back to your house. But it has worked for us. We haven't had anymore mice in almost a year.

This was me letting my cat handle it. She caught about ten. This would have been her 11th kill but she just let him go. I will say, number 8 was probably the most cruel one she ever disposed of. I found it paralyzed in the corner of her dirty litter box.
But as for how to get rid of them. Seal up any entrances they may have created with steel wool and plaster. And then either the spring traps or they have the humane traps that you add bait to and then release them into the wild far far away from your home.

Get the traps and put an m&m; on the peanut butter and put them in your ceiling tiles if you have them. Happens in my family every year.
