Yes it could. Buy an ergonomic carrier. Personally I love Tula but there are many others. And carrying your child face forwards is never ergonomic, always make your baby face you. The point is to keep the weight off the hips and the only way to do that is to have a posture where the knees are higher than the hips, like a frog. Good luck! 😘

Make sure your carrier is ergonomically correct (the seat there looks very narrow) and made for outward facing. Also, he looks a little too young to be outward facing. There are certain criteria they need to meet to outward face safely. The concern is that their airway is only the width of a pencil and they don’t have the muscle strength to hold it open yet. They just don’t have the trunk control for it until about 5-6 months - even very strong, younger babies can kink their airways if they fall asleep chin to chest.
