iui success with already released egg??

so today I had my iui done. I took my trigger shot Monday at 10.30 pm and did iui today at 11am. I requested for a ultrasound before the procedure and it showed my egg was released already. would you guys be concerned about it? I heard it's better if you do the insemination before ovulation. do you think I still have chance?? I am really upset 😢

My doctor said he wanted the egg to be “hanging out” before he injected me. I triggered at 3pm and felt a “pop” at around 11pm. My DH said what’s wrong I’m like that was a weird feeling that I’ve never felt before. I thought it was too early for the trigger to work but I guess not. My doc didn’t do a sono before so I don’t know if that’s what it was or not. But I think you should be just fine! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 keep us posted!

This happened to me my last IUI. It was my 5th IUI and I️ always saw the size of my follicles.  But this time it showed I️ just ovulated.  They said that it wasn’t a bad thing and verified with blood work    I’m due for my period December 18th   Praying I️ get a BFP.  Otherwise I️ have to move onto ivf which I’m not too excited about.  I️ have unexplained infertility.

The same thing happened to me. I requested an ultrasound but they wouldn’t do one. I had tons of ovulation pain and she said I already ovulated then! She even said she didn’t feel the need to do the iui but since I had my vials (frozen sperm) she would just do it. That left me feeling so upset and discouraged. I can test on Christmas Eve. Sending baby dust

well the egg can last 24 hours after its released.  there could still be a chance.
