Has anyone ever asked or thought about asking your physician to have a planned C-section for non medical reasons?

This will be my 4th delivery. My only complications are gestational diabetes. My 3 previous delivery were vaginal, normal and uncomplicated.

I was thinking of asking my physician if I could request a c-section this time. Only because I want to have my tubes tied and would honestly like to have it all done at once. I know sounds silly, but do you think it’s possible they would consider my request?

Either way I’ll be having my tubes tied, but if I didn’t have to go back to the hospital 6 weeks after delivery to have it done would be great.

Just a thought.
