Please tell me what a pagan is?

Question

Ok, So I don't usually ask questions about religion but I have never heard of this. and my friend came to me saying she was an Odinist. What does that mean?      Please excsue my shelteredness, I was raised in a Muslim household and we didn't talk about other religions besides Abrahamic onez.

I’m not sure about paganism as a whole (it’s a very broad term) but I’ve recently started getting into the Wiccan religion and we worship nature and the universe. Some believe in Gods and Goddesses and some actually believe that the Gods and Goddesses are just a metaphor/symbolism for nature. Wicca is a very personal religion and we all follow it differently.

A pagan is someone who believes in more than one god or goddess. Paganism itself is not a religion but it describes a group of religions with similar beliefs. 
Odinism is a branch of paganism. They believe in more than one god and goddess and specifically in the Norse gods and goddesses. (Odin, Thor, Loki, Freya, Fenrir) it was the religion in old Norway and Iceland (though it's making a comeback in Iceland)
Wicca is also a pagan religion. 
As is Santeria, and Druidism. 
I'm not sure if all of them include worship of nature but most of them do. (Mother Earth) 
I was raised Wiccan 🙂
