(Trigger warning, sexual assault)

So lately we have been discussing the #metoo movement, and all these people coming forward with their stories. And it got me wondering. Let’s say a prostitute was sexually harassed/assaulted by an arresting officer (cop), she comes forward about a year after her conviction. Would that still be acceptable? Or would people take that as a “revenge” thing because she was caught?

I’m obviously asking for personal reasons, but I’d much rather keep my personal life out of it, and just see if it’s even worth reporting. Especially at this point. I’d hate to seem like a “band wagon” but at the same time I would hope me coming forward would open the door for other sex workers being blackmailed by the police to come forward as well.

I mean they deserve to be held accountable and I’m sure I’m no the only person to experience this with that department
