So I found out this past Monday I have thyroid cancer. While this is “curable” (they remove the tumour) it can return in the future and there are some pretty crappy side effects. I meet with a surgeon next week, but I’m freaking out a bit. I haven’t told anyone publicly, but I’ll need to because the scar is across the neck and obviously very noticeable. Worst part is, ive been told by someone in a support group that they were instructed they won’t be able to hold or lift their baby for 2 weeks. Oliver will be 3 months old next week, and I just can’t bear the thought of not being to hold him 😭 I just had to talk to someone, it’s so scary.
