Mirena and cycles.??

Has any ones cycle actually stopped due to being on mirena.?? i heard it took up to 6-9 months for it to stop. ive had my mirena in since march && my cycle has only become light, is that the 1st step.??

i have had 3 mirena implants. first was put in at 8 weeks post baby while nursing bleeding after birth had stopped and i bleed half a light days panty liner worth that day after it was put in then no more. until again it was taken out and thr next went in 5 years later and again same thing... half a panty liner the day the new one went in... I'm 2.5 years into my third mirena ... my kid is 15 going on 16. haven't had a full cycle since before becoming pregnant with her. so for some of us... it works IMMEDIATELY to stop bleeding and thicken cervical mucus when you have sex so the little boogers can't swim. hope that helps.

i’ve had the Mirena for 2 months & my periods have become way lighter. i used to have really bad cramps before & now they’re bearable. i usually will spot the first 2 days, bleed for 2 days, then spot the last day.

I’ve had my mirena for 3 years this month and this is the first time I’ve consistently not had a period. No period since August. It’s driving me nuts 😂

I have mirena for 3 years now, but I remember it took like 5 months for me for my period to stop and even sometimes I use to get a few spots but now nothing

On my first one, 5yrs in, my periods have become very light but they have never stopped. Sometimes they are late but missed, never. I guess we are all different.
