When did you tell your boss you’re pregnant?

Feeling really conflicted on when to tell my boss and colleagues. I had decided to tell them next week but now I’m second guessing myself.  I’m 12w today.

I was hiding it from everyone at work because I had a miscarriage before and for me dealing with people saying Oh so sorry etc for me was a horrible part about my miscarriage so I decided I won't tell anyone at work. up until 10 weeks nobody knew until the day when I was teaching my college students I fainted in the class and that's how everyone found out including my students lol

I was so sick I had to tell my boss around 8 weeks. Throwing up every 30 mins in the bathroom wasnt great so had to leave early a couple times a week. If I wasn’t so sick I would have waited till just after 12 weeks.

With my last pregnancy my boss knew before I even told my mom because she saw me wearing seabands. I was about 10 weeks at the time, but we didn't go to HR with the news until I was 25 weeks. This time around I notified my boss who works out of state and my HR rep around 18 weeks because I wanted to start making plans for arranging for coverage for while I'm on my maternity leave and that meant notifying them sooner than I normally would have.

I told my boss at 7 weeks because I had a job that required me to lift heavy stuff all morning and I couldn’t lift due to previous loss so he had to know.

I had complications and a late term loss in my first pregnancy, so with this one I have had a ton of appointments. I wanted my boss to understand why I needed to take sick time fairly often so I told only him at 12 weeks, and he was awesome about it. I’m 19 weeks now, not showing, and haven’t told any other coworkers. I don’t want the attention so holding out until its basically obvious.
