Does your husband talk about his feelings?

And deep conversations? We have been through a lemon tough stuff and I honestly feel like he bottles it all in. On top of that we have been ttc for awhile, got diagnosed with unexplained infertility and doing IVF in March. I suggested going to counseling just as a casual thing (not for anything specific) because I know IVF and be tough. But he doesn’t want too. I feel like his guard is up

It took my husband years to open up. He used to bottle things up, until I would reassure him it’s ok to have feelings and talk about them. I never forced him to talk. We communicate great now.

We have pillow talk just to get everything out and in the open. We do it on a daily basis if I don’t fall asleep first

It depends. 
My husband’s job doesn’t allow for emotions; emotions can get him hurt or in trouble. So sometimes he can be cold, and it takes him a while to “thaw” out.
But when it comes to me, he’s pretty good at softening up and talking it through.
