how much do you feed your little one?

my son is 3 weeks and I just kinda want to know where other baby are at in regards to eating. He eats 3-4 ounces every 2 hours. I feel like that's a lot. How much and how many times a day do you feed them? Stupid question but can you over feed your baby?

Totally normal! Mine were doing about that at 3 weeks every 2 hours as well. My son sleeps through the night now, will wake up once to eat 4 oz and then goes back to bed, and will drink 4-7oz every couple hours during the day. His twin sister drinks at least 3oz (sometimes up to 6oz) every two hours and sleeps 2-3 hours during the night before waking up. They very much know when they are full and shove the bottle out of their mouths when they are done. They will be 10 weeks on Monday.

Every baby is different and they are good at knowing when they are full... my son always fed every 2.5 hours (he’s weaned now so a bit different) but without fail however he slept well at night so you might find he takes a lot through the day but does well at night.
Just prior to weaning he had 8-9oz if expressed breast milk between 7am and 7pm then he would have a 5oz dreammfeed at 11 and go through till 7

If your little one is breastfed then you can’t over feed them. They typically need 1-1.5 oz of breast milk per hour. I have a 7 month old that eats 4 oz 6 times a day. It’s not how many oz per feeding, it’s how many oz over a 24 hour period. Since mine doesn’t eat through the night I have to feed him basically every 2-2.5 hours.
