long distance relationship

this is a legitimate question and i want everyones opinions... so for example im in a long distance relationship..and if my boyfriend travels a 5 hour drive to spend the weekend with me should i be obligated to pay for things when he is here ? especially since he has come to see me 3 times and i haven't been able to go to him yet.. or is it okay to ask to go dutch on a date ? all opinions plz...
