Is 12dpo to early to test?

I am planning on taking a pregnancy test on the 24th in hopes that it will say that I'm pregnant so I can announce to my husband on Christmas. I should be 12dpo on the 24th. Is this still to early to get a positive?

It's possible, but if I could share my story from last year. I waited till Christmas to take a test in hopes it'd be some sort of miracle. It was negative and really wrecked me because I put so much on having a positive Christmas present. Sort of made me have a crappy Christmas. I'd honestly wait till after Christmas so you aren't putting just that much more pressure on it all. Enjoy Christmas with your spouse. :)
