Is your newborn sensitive to noise? Does he/she wake up easily?

Our almost 7 week old baby is very sensitive to almost all sorts of noise around her and she is a very light sleeper since 3rd week. Even typical street noise bothers her. Also she doesn’t like to stay asleep much in general so we keep everything really quite around her to be able to keep her sleep a little more. But of course we cannot control neighbors using elevator right..? Does anybody have similar issue?

I can run a vacuum and she doesn’t wake but god forbid if my husband coughs....all bets are off.

Buy a Dohm white noise sound machine. My first born is a light sleeper (almost 5 and still is). My second sleeps through anything, anywhere 😂

Have you tried the 90 minute YouTube wombsound ? That works with my son. Also the baby shusher

I use a white noise playlist on my iPad and play it through a portable speaker. I go about my day/ or night as usual and nothing we do wakes her.

We try white noise, it works occasionally. It was working much better at first...😕 But thanks anyway. I guess she will never sleep ...

I just created a white noise playlist on an old iPad and keep that playing all night in our LO’s room- now she falls asleep to noise

My son use to sleep through it all and then one day it just changed and he hated noise! Now I put his sound machine on full blast to tune out all the other noises
