What to take for a cold?

Question

I have a nasty sore throat, stuffy nose, and cough. I usually drink Emergen-C or take DayQuil but I'm 5 weeks 4 days so I was wondering what are some of your remedies for colds that always seem to strike this time of year? I want to be safe!

My midwife said in the first trimester only Tylenol, halls, and a Nettie pot.

Honestly I would call your doctor and ask because each one is different. My midwife said DayQuil is good and so is NyQuil but I don’t take the NyQuil. She also said regular mucinex and regular robitussin is good too Benadryl is also safe. But your doctor may have a different list they approve.

I’m struggling with the same thing right now. I’ve just been doing hot decaf green tea and using the Neti Pot to clear my sinuses!

My doctor has said sudafed is ok but im in my second tri. Def talk to your doc there are apparently a lot of dif opinions on the subject!
