Contractions? Help

I’m 38 weeks today and i was 1 cm dilated at my appointment the other day. For the last 2 hours I’ve been having what i think are contractions. They started in my back now they are wrapping around my stomach and come with anal and vagina pressure. Could this possibly be contractions?

Sounds like contractions to me. might not hurt for a little while. get a contraction timer app and track them.

If they were contractions they’ve stopped 😐. Still feeling a little pressure down there and a constant period cramp like feeling but that’s all

so you mentioned anal pressure too. i have heard that contractions when  they start feel like you have a urge to poop. well I definitely have that urge, and tons of gas. but right now nothing is coming out. wondering if it's constipation or contractions. ugh. why is it so hard to tell when everyone says "oh trust me you'll know"??
