How did you know you had post partum depression?

Individual symptoms, how you felt before baby was born. 
I'm really scared for babies birth, and it's becoming so real at 34 weeks that this is it.. I don't feel overly connected to baby just more scared..

I felt like an imposter — like my baby wasn’t mine. When she was born I didn’t feel a bond like I did while she was inside of me. It’s as though I was on the outside looking in at someone else’s life.
I wanted to withdraw from everything and everyone and just be alone.

I didn't accept the fact that I gave birth, I freaked out about finances and tried to go back to work before I was ready because I was afraid my baby wouldnt have what she needs since I wasn't making money. I cried and stared at my baby for an hour a day for a week.

just remember depression doesnt always mean sadness. lack of energy not wanting to do anything, feeling down, feeling like youre not bonding with baby are a few symptoms. protein intake is important to help battle ppd.

I was super anxious constantly about my twins. And if no one was around me I would find myself freaking out and crying constantly. Having visitors was the only way I could shove everything back because I could concentrate on being a good hostess and cleaning the house so I didn’t have to think.

When I caught myself having the thought of dropping my baby off at the fire station. My PPD was really really bad. Took me 18 months to recover
