Any midwives or dulas out there?

I would love to go into one of those fields and I was just wondering what kind of training/degree you had to go through to get licensed? Also, do you love your job, is it worth the long hours and time away from family?

I've been looking into becoming a doula once my kids are all a little older. For now I teach Birth Boot Camp classes and I LOVE that.

I'm a doula and childbirth educator. I would recommend you stick with either cappa or dona for doula training as they are the most reputable. Also, I have heard that some insurance companies only have those in place to be covered on peoples insurance. For midwifery you would be in a 4+ year program at a university.

I'm gonna be a doula once I have the money for it! Google it for info! I found an online one that's only $495 and you can pay it over 3-6 month intervals if need be 😊😊
