Induction or Csection?

Hey guys! So my due date is the 21st! And they are planning on starting the induction process with a foley balloon on monday, as I am not dilated yet. I understood that dilating with foley balloon can take up to 48hrs or it can go fast......however I have the option of having a csection right away as well.....any advice?

Having had both c-section and natural I would opt for natural always. It hurts like hell for a few hours compared to being in pain for months. Not being able to move. Feeling debilitated. The healing process is so much longer and harder.

c-sections are a very invasive surgery. They essentially cut your abdomen from side to side and move past your bladder and intestines to cut the baby out.In some cases, they actually have to lift them out, out of the way. Healing time is longer too. If you have a c-section once, and you have other kids, you'll likelyhood of having to deliver via c-section every time increases. So if you have a bad experience going that route, you can't turn around and say job prefer to try vaginal birth. This upsets a lot of women who didn't get a choice the first time. There is a misconception that c-sections are the easy way out. But you can ask any mother who has had one. They are definitely not. You're cut open and hands are in your body moving around organs as opposed to just pushing baby out and getting a few tears. I recommend reading some articles or watching some YouTube videos. As a FTM who had her first c section on 12/12 i would recommend that you have a lot of help when you return home. The recovery is harder than i anticipated but is going so well because my husband is an absolute angel. If you have a choice id try vaginally but everything happens for a reason so if you have a c section you will do just fine just as I️ am!

Personally I would do c-section, I’ve never had one bc I am a FTM lol but I would just wanna meet my baby but I heard they hurt a ton 😟

There has to be a medical reason for c-section, you won’t be given the choice.
