I had a scheduled repeat csection for yesterday in which I showed on time for. I come in sign papers and they ask if my doc knows I'm sick I said yes he does due to him seeing me earlier this week for my last checkup. We both agreed that I had a sinus infection like my youngest son. Well as they are putting my iv in and getting blood they decided they wanted to do a flu test...we did and it was inconclusive so we had to do it again but results wouldn't be there till I was in the OR. I go to the OR got my spinal (which I can say I didn't feel him even put the needle in he was that good!) nurse tells me I tested positive for the flu and I'm in quarantine! All I'm thinking is oh my is my baby gonna be ok? Are they gonna keep her away from me? I didn't know what they were gonna do until one of my nurses said my baby girl would be in quarantine with me and not to worry they will have NICU check her before we left to go back to our room. I love my nurses everyone of them were so helpful! My spinal took a few extra minutes to work so when doc went to test me I felt the cut but barley any pain, I told him this and he said since there was no pain he would proceed. All I'm thinking is when you get deeper will it still be working!?!?! I felt him use the instruments on me but again no pain but I did feel some pain when they were pushing and pulling to get her out. I told them and they just gave me a relaxor medicine and finished up the afterwards they gave me percaset (can't spell sorry). My husband still feels bad for me having the flu and feeling what pain I did but he said we got a gorgeous little 8lbs 5oz 20 1/2 inch long girl! I completely agree with him! 🙌❤❤ I'm still sick of course but I'm been in strong antibiotics and my pain medicine has been helping too so I get to leave tomorrow instead of Monday!!! This was our last baby and I hate how it turned out but God had a different plan and everything and everyone is ok!
