When your partner doesn’t want anymore children

Question

I would so desperately love to try for a third child but my husband is dead against it. He’s worried it would be too stressful. He feels we’re complete as a family of 4. I wish I felt complete and these urges of wanting another child would just vanish but they’re not, in fact they get stronger every day. What should I do?

If you are not fulfilled with your life it may be something other than wanting more kids. I read about so many woman that want more babies to fill a void. A baby shouldn’t be fulfilling anything for you. Do you have friends, a career, hobbies, family? Are you kids in activities? I would think with 2 kids you would be really busy.

I felt the exact same way. Hubby didn’t want a third. He is easily stressed by finances. We are fine financially but he was raised to prioritise work. I put it off for years then told him how I felt and said I’d possibly regret not having another (and last) child. We have two boys and I always had a strong connection with a daughter. Hubby said he understood and took him a year to agree to try. Now pregnant with our last baby, and a girl. Manifestations are very strong. I wrote a letter to my daughter years ago and asked her to come if it was right, and when she was ready. She chose her time. 😊

I would talk to your spouse. If he still doesn't care to have any more kids, than I would leave it at that. I know it must be hard. I know the urge to have kids can be so strong. I really hope he comes around. Children are a blessing, and I can't imagine my husband saying no more.  I'm sorry. 😔

My SO only wants two kids but I️ want three. We’re currently pregnant with our second so I️ hope he wants another one in the future 🤦🏻‍♀️ I️ take care of them more than he does anyway so why does he care 😂

My husband was the exact same way. We had a rough patch last year in the summer and when we got through our problems his mind had changed and now we have a 6m old boy along with our two girls and my stepdaughter! So it can take time. He might change his mind with time. Best of luck mama
