My baby’s almost seven weeks old and lately she will not sleep without me holding. She’s honestly never been a good sleeper, we had maybe a week where she would sleep in her swing, and even that was very hit and miss, but now she won’t even do that. For the past week every time I try and put her down, mind you she’ll be sound asleep, she wakes up twenty minutes later. The only way either of us get any sleep is if she sleeps with me on the couch.

Tonight I rocked her to sleep and once she was sleeping for a little bit I put her in her bouncer so I could do something. Ten second later her eyes popped open.

I’m at a loss for what to do. We live in an apartment so I don’t feel like it’s right to just let her cry when she wakes up. Plus she does not let up when she cries. She’s cried for over an hour with no let up and nothing obviously wrong, other than she was just tired. I make sure she’s fed and has a clean diaper before bed. I dim the lights and try don’t do anything stimulating and she’s not too hot/cold, just stubborn as heck to get to sleep!

Any suggestions? I know they can go through a sleep regression about now but she’s seriously been like this since we’ve been home. I’m at my wits end and don’t want to keep sleeping on the couch!
