Awful nightmares during period?

I get really horrible nightmares, anything from watching loved ones drink bleach to seriously injuring kittens. Does anybody else get this? Is this normal? How can I make it stop?

I have problems talking in my sleep and can't fall asleep at times and nightmares aren't just during my period. I'm prescribed Ambien for when I need it. You can ask your doc about that. Works like a charm.

I also have very vivid, realistic dreams during AF. Sometimes they can be pretty scary, too. I also sometimes have night sweats.

Actually this explains the strange dreams I've been having! They haven't been awful or nightmares in particular but they are very vivid!
