Cramps from Ovulation until Period

eleni

For the past two cycles I have cramps starting a little before my ovulation lasting all the way until my period. Cramps in my lower abdomen especially (uterus area lol). Usually I cramp on one side, my right, but my cramps can be all over the place. For a while I was freaking out, thinking I was pregnant, but I've taken pregnancy tests (which were all negative) and I got my period last cycle. I just finished ovulating, and I had terrible terrible cramps during ovulation. Now I'm done and they aren't going away. I keep googling this to see if anyone has ever experienced something similar, or to try to find some answers, and all I get is "signs of early pregnancy" and I know for a fact that I'm not pregnant. I quit birth control about 2 months ago because I kept forgetting to take it and I decided I want to try an iud instead ( I don't have it yet but will be getting one soon). I know that quitting birth control can mess with your hormones, but I only took it for 3 months and this would be my third cycle without it. Honestly I'm just miserable. These cramps suck , I get them throughout the whole day. It's just frustrating because I don't know what it is (I'm a college student I haven't had a chance to go to the doctor). Until I go to the doctor, does anyone have an advice? Has anyone ever dealt with this before?
