Reaction to Pad???

Hi guys, I occasionally have to use pads when I have a really heavy flow, and I've noticed that after I use one my skin can get dried up, hard, itchy and flakey (gross ik I'm really sorry). Does anyone else experience this or have a remedy?

Try switching brands. I use Naturella and have no issues at all but I don't know where you live and if it's available there. I once had to get a single pad from the convenience store because I didn't have any with me, they only had one brand and oh god, it was like wearing a plastic bag, it chafed so bad.

This used to happen to me when I was younger. I’m allergic to the cotton or whatever it is from pads , so what helps me is any ointment that you can put on your vagina lips so they won’t be so dry and itchy. There’s various types of “ointment” you can try out , but what helps me is baby vaseline. Rub some on your vagina lips and you can rub a little bit on the pad. I do this after every change. I think the cause of this is the pad either suffocating your vagina, or when you walk , the pad rubs against it causing irritation. I hope this helped you though baby.
