Is it weird to get/be engaged while still living with your parents?

I lived at home with my parents while I was engaged. I didn’t move out till a month before the wedding. And my now husband didn’t move in with me till the day offer the wedding. My dads a pastor so he would have killed me if I was living with my husband before being married lol.

I don't think it's weird per se. My sister was still living at home when she got engaged to her husband. My mom actually encouraged her to live with him for a while beforehand but his mom is very strict Catholic and would have flipped! I'm personally really glad that I got the experience of living on my own for a while and that I have had the chance to live with my man before marriage. But every relationship is different, so what works for one couple might not work for another!

My fiancé and I still live at home with our parents. Were both in college and only able to work part time. But we both reached the point in our relationship that we both wanted more of a commitment so ring it was. It sucks but in the long run it prepares us better for life cause we’ll have a good amount of money saved up. Plus since we’ve been engaged I can basically stay over at his mom’s place whenever so💁🏼‍♀️

my fiance and I live with my mom. him and I where long distance so he moved in with me while we try to get our own place together. sometimes shit is hard lol but as long as you have a long term goal of your own it should be fine. however.. pay your own bills and rent lol don't rely on your parents.

I am a grad student, which means I have two choices. Have a real wedding, with a church and nice food and all, or move out of my parents' house. I can't afford both. And there's no good reason to move. (Plus my mom makes me a hot breakfast and dinner and packs me lunch and does my laundry . . . I'm so spoiled, I probably should move out 😂)
