can't see a baby on ultrasound at 9 weeks?

hey guys, I'm 9 weeks pregnant and had an ultrasound today but the Dr. told me that she could only see sac but there is no baby found, I'm seriously so depressed right now... anyone went through the same? can I still expect a baby? this is my baby #1

are you sure you're 9 weeks? They could see something by now if you are with a vaginal ultrasound

Like the other commenter, are you positive you’re 9 weeks? My doctors told me I was 8 weeks according to my LMP, but I was actually only 6 weeks and saw an empty gestational sac at my first ultrasound. I went back at 9 weeks and everything was fine.

I had the same thing, I was at a 9 week ultrasound...sac was the size of 7 weeks, but I knew I had my dates right. I had to wait 2 weeks to confirm but it was a blighted ovum... if This Is the case, just remember that it is a chromosomal abnormality that causes it not to grow and NOTHING you did. I know its hard to remember it's "for the best", and ...it's easy to say but not go through. but that's the only thibg that got me through it all. STAY positive! praying for you and the best outcome, whatever that may be 💕

Maybe you’re just earlier i thought i was further by my lmp but was measuring 2 weeks earlier and just ovulated late from coming off the pill i got a ultrasound at 7 weeks 6 days and they were able to see though

I went in last week at 6 weeks and they could only see they gestational sac and yolk sac. I have another appointment in 2 days for a follow up ultrasound to check for growth and really just don’t know if I want to go. We are heading out of town for the holiday on Thursday and I know if I get bad news at the ultrasound that I will be devastated. I have a 7 year old and I want to be able to enjoy our trip with her. You could be earlier than you think. Did you track ovulation with OPKs and BBT? So you can be more positive of when conception occurred? I was told if there is no bleeding or cramping not to worry but it’s definitely hard when you go in thinking you will get to see you little one and see nothing. Good luck.

Basing off your period date is just a guess. They thought u would be 7 weeks at my first US and i measured over 9.
