hashimoto's thyroiditis

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for the past 16 months after being married 4 years. I have been to my obgyn two times, & both times they told me to wait because I’m “too young to worry” (I’m 23) and that it would happen when it’s supposed to happen without ordering any blood work for me at all, so I went to my Family Dr.. After finally getting blood work done by him I have recently found out that my test came back that my antibodies in my thyroid are at 1300 when they are supposed to be 30 or below and my thyroid it reading at 9.7 when it’s supposed to be below a 3. He diagnosed me with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and I am now on synthroid 25 mcg, every 8 weeks I have to get blood work done and if it’s not helping pull my levels down He is going to up the medication.

Has anyone had this much trouble conceiving with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis?

And have you had success after getting your numbers down?

We just want a baby so bad and feel like it’s never going to happen. 😭
