Is this too early for a baby shower?

So my husband's family lives in a different state from us and we are going to visit in January. I'll be almost 22 weeks and was curious if that's too early for a baby shower since we won't see most of his family for probably another year. I'm asking because someone asked if I was going to do baby showers with each family. I don't want to upset my husband's family by not allowing them to do one with us. What do you all think?

If they want to throw you a baby shower I say go for it since you more than likely won't be around them during the rest of your pregnancy.

Typically you have a baby shower between 32-36 weeks, but that’s usually when family lives in the same area as you. I see nothing wrong with doing one now and then another for friends later on if you do choose.

I had one for both families bc of distance- if someone wants to throw you a shower I couldn’t turn it down, they want to celebrate you and the baby ❤️ but I know some people and faiths have strong feelings about being baby stuff into the home too early, you have to do what you feel comfortable doing

We had ours at 26 weeks last time simply because 1- I was traveling from 29-32 weeks and 2- my sister in law figured it would be better to do it when I’m not huge and uncomfortable 😂 10/10 would do it early again.
