Best way to break it to your dad you’re pregnant?

Hey everyone, I’m 22 years old and I am pregnant with my first baby. 4 weeks and 6 days today❤️ but I am scared about telling my dad. He’s my last living parent and I just don’t know how he will take it. Please help me ease my mind

I would tell him when you’re comfortable. That way, if anything does happen, you have him to support you through a tough time❤️

It’s always best to wait until 12 weeks once you’re out of the first trimester and your risk of miscarriage is significantly reduced. It’s not nice to think about but it’s a very real possibility, I’d wait until then.

My dad is my only parent also.  I’m 29 my mom passed over 2 years ago. He’s been wanting a grand baby for a while now that I’m married and we finally Got a positive. I’m going to tell my dad on Xmas eve! You could wait until your first ultrasound so you have all the info for him!

Are you financially dependent on him or you live independently? Are you in a long term stable relationship?  Those factors matter. If you're basically going to be a single parent living in his home, that's a different situation than say you're engaged and living on your own.
