My cervix was closed still and measuring great. I told my doctor every little ache and pain I felt down there would scare me to death because I was terrified of dilating with a cerclage in place like I did with my son (which was painful and terrifying to say the least).

She told me she normally won’t remove them until 37 weeks, but since my cervix hadn’t shortened at all and we’ve had no preterm labor scares she’s remove it if I wanted. I said I did and so she did!

It was REAL painful/uncomfortable, which caught me completely off guard since I barely felt it the first time I got a cerclage removed. I guess every pregnancy is different.

So here I am, 35w/5d and my cervical cerclage is out. I’m spotting lightly from getting it cut, but cervix is closed. Baby boy is head down and has dropped into position. This pregnancy is sooooo much easier than with my first - super blessed!
