Hello everyone! I just wanted to stop by after a while with a message of hope. After 2.5 years of trying with 2 (possibly 3) MCs, my husband and I are now 16 weeks pregnant!!! I am 40. Things started to look hopeless; I sought and held onto any positive outcomes I had heard of with similar histories but it becomes overwhelming and you're really not sure how much more you can take. The emotional roller coaster and the ticking clock are constantly in motion and you're kind of a prisoner of your own dreams and place in life.

Don't obsess about statistics and numbers. Know that there is an exception to every rule and the possibility for success is always there! My first trimester was a nightmare -I had spotting then bleeding start and stop through week 9!!! Every other day I thought it was over. I mourned so many times and it turned out to be bizarrely normal in my case.

I'm not gonna say don't give up - because there are times when that may be what's best for someone. I honestly don't know how long we would've kept trying with additional MCs and my age. I'm a strong woman who can be a realist but even I have a limit. Let me also say, as a reminder, there are amazing children out in the world without homes. We were absolutely willing and able to go the adoption route if we were unable to continue.

In any event, this Christmas we have the happiest news ever to share with our loved ones and we don't take it for granted one second. And we continue to pray and thank God. I sprinkle baby dust on all of you and give you hope during this holiday season that your dreams are only moments away from coming true! <3
