Skipping placebo pills affecting depression

So I take Blisovi for birth control with just four placebo pills. Well my dr said i could skip them and continue on to the next pack and ive been doing that for about six months. Whilst a ton of other stressful thing have happens outside of that, my anxiety and depression has been amplified a ton. Could this potentially have anything to do with me skipping and not having my period do you think?
