So my moms planning on coming down the week of my due date to be here for the birth of baby and help us out. She will not be staying in the house with us but will be close by which is nice. She keeps saying “hopefully baby won’t get there before I do” because she wants to be here for my labor but I really hope not. Am I wrong! My mom is so over bearing and controlling I really want this to be an me and Michael (SO) thing and I know if she is here she is going to try to box him out. She loves being the center of attention. My baby shower was a disaster because of that. I was serving her and her friends food and drinks. I knew no one and no one brought gifts. They basically got drunk and partied while me and my sister sat in the corner and served. I don’t want another Mom Takeover. Am I wrong? Anyone else not feel so sure they want their Mom present ?
