How long can you smoke while pregnant for your baby to test clean?

I stopped at 32 weeks and we were both clean. He came at 37 weeks. The cord blood will test positive though. Pretty sure you can't smoke at all for that to be clean.

I smoked until about 30 weeks although I cut down a lot when I found I was pregnant. They tested my sons first poop and he was negative. I don’t think they tested me tho.

I stoped when I found out but was a heavy user and tested positive because it was still in my system. The nurse told me that if I test positive again then they will have to test the babies meconium which begins to develop around 20 weeks and is held until birth. My next test was negative so the don't have to test it but I wouldn't risk it after 20 weeks just in case. Most hospitals will test moms at birth now and then if you test positive the test baby. Legally they have to notify CPS but I had a friend test positive(only marijuana) and they literally gave her a packet on potential harms and never did a follow up or anything!
