So in school we were taught abstinence in sex ed and were never taught about birth control or really anything. I’ve had the Nexplanon implant in my arm for a year now and haven’t had problems with it until recently. For the first ten months (Dec ‘16-Oct ‘17) of having the implant I did not get my period (my doctor said this is normal) and I have been regularly sexually active without a condom since Aug ‘17 with my boyfriend. We rely on the “pull out method” and my birth control because we are NOT looking to have a baby.

On October 15th I got my first period and it lasted until around Oct 30th. Too long for my taste, and toward the end it was just weird brown chunky discharge coming out. Around Nov 3rd I took a pregnancy test (just to make sure) and it came back negative.

Come (around) Dec 8th I get my period again. My BOOBS get bigger and more sensitive!! It lasts until Dec 19 and is just not really normal. It would stop for a couple of days and would only show up in the toilet when I pooped and then would spot lightly on tampons. It just ended today and I DONT UNDERSTAND WHATS GOING ON WITH MY BODY!

I’m going to see my doctor soon, but what do you guys think is going on with me?? Am I pregnant?? Is this normal on this birth control?? I’m so concerned!!
