Absolutely 100% true. You can ONLY get pregnant when you ovulate. Your fertile window is the few days leading up to ovulation. Sperm might survive in that environment for up to 5 days. Once that egg is gone, 12-24 hours after being released, that's it until the next cycle.

It is very true! However, what women don't understand is that they can ovulate at any point in their cycle, and unless they know their bodies or track with other methods, it could be literally any time! Most women with a 28ish day cycle ovulate around day 14, but some women can ovulate right after their period ends (which means that period sex you thought was safe really isn't). So yes, there's a small window to get pregnant, but the dates of the window can differ from woman to woman and sometimes cycle to cycle.
