I'm not a Christian because all theists including Christians have failed to meet their burden of proof.

I wouldn't say I'm an atheist, but I don't identify with any religion either. Spiritual agnostic?

I was raised in a Christian home. I went to Sunday school, to Catholic high school, and a Jesuit university. I was told for years what to believe, how to believe it, where to pray, how to worship, and that I was going to go to hell if I didn't pray hard enough. I've read the Bible- several times over- and after a lot of thinking and reading and reflecting on what I really believed and wanted, I realized that I was lying to myself, and had probably been a nonbeliever all along. I went with what I was told to believe because I was a child and trusted the authority figures in my life. As I got older, I was scolded for daring to ask questions. I wasn't happy that way. I finally "outed" myself as agnostic about 10 years ago and haven't looked back. I believe it's OK to not know and to not have all the answers, and to never stop learning. That comforts me lile a believer's faith comforts them.

I voted other religion because I would identify as agnostic.

I was raised Christian and was very studious of the scriptures up until I was about 19 or 20. What really turned me off from Christianity was %100 other Christians. Like I said I was very studious with my religion, I still have my old bible with thousands of verses highlighted. And after years of reading all the text I felt that many Christians don't get the point. They just don't live it. While I could carry a theological conversation and have a mutual respect with many of my fellow Christians, I always felt ashamed and outcasted by a large number of Christians too. It was like a cock measuring contest of who was the better Christian and I got sick of it and stopped going to church.

I still believe in God but if you met me now you probably wouldn't call me a Christian.
