29/12/2017 (Update)

Hey ladies,

I met with the bride and i told her how bad the combination of the top and the skirt was. She’s my best friend and i know she wants us to look nice and she’s pretty upset that her other bridesmaids dont care enough to even collect the outfit and try it on.. she’s actually relieve that someone (aka me) cares enough of how her wedding will look like. She didnt take it the wrong way. Because if yall think im being dramatic, her other bridesmaid was more dramatic. Before we decided on the outfit, she was so unhappy of the colour of choice she told the bride she dont want to a bridesmaid. So guys i am not the difficult one here. In fact i am trying to help the bride to make her day better.

So i suggested that since she wants to keep that skirt, why not i purchase a different top to go with it.. she said ok. She’ll leave it to me..

So ladies help a girl out here! I have 2 options. Which will look good with that poofy skirt?? The other crop top or the bodysuit?

Anyway, just wanna say,

Firstly, i am the maid of honour, so please dont hate me.. i didnt pick the skirt, just the top.. 😅

And the bride wanted her bridesmaids to wear all white bec it’s an all-white wedding..

Secondly, guyssss yall are so funny! Of course i am NOT gonna wear just a bra underneath that see-through lace top! I’m not Kardashian enough for that. Hahahaha i’ll wear a white/nude coloured top underneath..

Lastly, i’ve decided to suck it up and just wear that not so nice outfit. Like yall said, it is her wedding and she wanted that.. so i’ll try to get it altered so it looks nice on me. I totally get shes the bride and i shouldnt want to look sooo nice but I dont want to remember my bestfriend’s wedding badly(?). I am all for the ‘look good feel good’ vibe.. so im gonna find a way to make me feel good so i can enjoy her wedding and still look nice for myself.. im gonna be a sport. It’s just 1 day, right?

So my bestfriend’s wedding is in a few weeks time and i just received the outfit and i hate it so much! It looks so “puffy” and ugly.. i mean, separately, the top and skirt is nice. But together it just looks so frumpy..

So i tried on this skirt and it looked so much better with the top.

I dont know what to do.. the bride thinks the original one looks ok.. i didnt show her the other pic (which i tried with a nicer skirt).

I feel like i’m being selfish but i’m not because i want her wedding to look perfect but... 😪

What do i do?! Any ideas i can make that puffy skirt or top look good together? Help 😪😭😭😭
