Significant different taste

Meg

We are finally getting married in June. It was mostly not needed, but after 7 years (7 in may of 2018) we figured why not get the paperwork done? Both of our families are super religious, and I refuse to sit through a Catholic mass, anyone here have a possible suggestion for a compromise for our families?

yea it's our wedding not theirs, but I don't want to deal with the Catholic guilt and stress if they refuse to go or recognize the marriage. Let's not even start on the "if we have a child out of wedlock" (meaning if we don't have a Catholic wedding)

any suggestions? we are almost ready to say f- the family and let's just pay the $200 to file the paperwork and go have a party.
