Punishment for kids?

We see so many topics about what punishments are awful, abuse, too harsh. I'm staring to wonder what punishment IS ok? So ladies tell me what punishment you use for your children? I don't want this to turn into a heated mom shaming thread over spanking. It's clear that moms are for it and others think it's abuse. I'm creating this topic as what do YOU use at a form of punishment. Is time out and taking away toys the only form of exceptable punishment now?
