What the hell is this?

So I’ve had a lump on the inside of my bottom lip for about a week but tonight a accidentally bit it and it got massive and now has turned purple/black. It doesn’t hurt at all but it’s rather uncomfortable pressing against my teeth. 
Does anyone know what it is? I’m thinking maybe a cyst?

That’s what my lip looked like when I smashed my face into the ground. I’d swish warm salt water around your mouth to help sterilize any bacteria and keep an eye on it. If it doesn’t go down, definitely get it looked at.

The colouring might be bruising or trapped blood from biting it, but you should get it checked out as it can also be a sign of cancer or an STI
