What do you consider "plus sized"?

(Just asking bc I see myself as plus sized bc of how large (tall, weight, & wide) I am and I wanted to know whatcha all thought)

I don’t think BMI is very reliable because I was tiny size wise but I had muscle which contributed to how much I weighed, so I was actually considered overweight. To me when I hear plus sized, I think of very large people. I hate it when women with even the slightest of curves have to go look for clothes in the plus sized section. It seriously is so degrading.

When I think of plus size I think of size 22+. I find it horrible that we class women plus size if they are a size 14/16+. I personally am considered overweight but I don't see myself as overweight.

When I think of plus size I think of someone size 22+. Not that clothing companies think that. Anyone who isn't a teen with limited development ends up buying L-2x clothes because of boobs or a butt. The worst part about that in my opinion is that they over charge you for every little thing. However, I DONT think shopping for something under "plus sized" is "humiliating".

I was a model for over 10 years. As a model they consider you plus size at a size  8. I'm 5'11" with a thick bone structure so I ended up developing eating disorders out of fear for being put into that category when realistically I should never be less than a size 8 if I'm to be healthy. After years of struggling and poor choices I finally discovered plus size means nothing so long as you are healthy. Me weighing 130lbs and wearing a size 5/6 took it's toll and almost took my life. My ideal healthy weight determined by my doctors is 155-165. If I dip below 145 I'm in trouble. There are just as many modeling jobs out there for women who are not size 0. I'm now proud of my plus size body because it allowed me to have 2 beautiful children with another on the way- something we never would've been able to achieve when I was trying to fit into society's idea of thin. Size 12-14 when not pregnant and healthier & happier then ever.

Everyone is shaped differently and carries fat and muscle differently so BMI isn’t really accurate especially for people who lift alottt

To me, plus size isn’t a clothing size. It’s when a person is obese based on their height/weight ratio. The difference between some one 5’ and 6’ both at 180lbs looks a lot different no matter what size they wear. One is healthy and one is obese.
