Hospital bags?

What’s everyone putting in theirs, and their baby’s? I overdo everything, and don’t want to bring unnecessary things, or forget anything I may need. I’ve redone the baby’s bag twice already, but have neglected my own bag.

I feel like I've over-researched this,  so here's what I narrowed it down to after all my reading: a travel case with TRAVEL size toiletries, nursing tanks, a light robe, comfy pants (2), t-shirt, nursing pads, slipper socks, and nursing bra. I also packed two copies of my insurance paperwork. I made a note to add the following last minute items: phone charger, my book, glasses, and a couple of make up items (in case the photographer comes around!) I did pack one pair of underwear but almost EVERYONE mentioned that the hospital will provide mesh underwear.

I didn’t buy anything new besides a fleece throw blanket from Walmart that was 2.50. The blanket they gave me when I went to get my contractions monitored was just a sheet and I hated it. Other than that I have 2 Pajamas, 2 or 3 pairs of undies that I don’t care if they get messed up (the hospital has mess undies but I feel like they are gonna fall off or something so I’ll put my undies probably on top, my postpartum belly band to help things go back in place or whatever it does lol, 2 sleeping bras that I can easily whip a boob out to breastfeed with (idk where my nursing bra went 🤷‍♀️), a pair of yoga pants and a pair of leggings (whichever feels more comfy to leave with, a stretchy spaghetti strap shirt, 2 pairs of socks (hospital socks are nice but I like my own socks better), a big fluffy comfy robe, shower gel, a razor, lotion, a small tiny purse size perfume, mascara and lipgloss (for when I leave)... fiancé is in charge of grabbing the charger when we leave. It sounds like a lot but it’s not when it’s packed up and I rather be comfy then have way too little. I might use everything or I might not. Ehhhh Whatever 🤷‍♀️ ... 
Baby’s bag I have a pacifier (in case I don’t like the one they have there), a baby bottle (the one I want him to use instead of the rubber nipples they add the formula in case I can’t breastfeed), his going home outfit, burp cloth, wipes (last time I went they didn’t use wipes but What was like fabric softener sheets and water), a sleeper sack with open bottom, a sleep and play or two I can’t remember, a onsie or two and a pair or two of pants, hats that match his clothes, a pair of baby mittens, socks, a blanket, bibs... again it sounds like a lot but my bag is only half full and my big isn’t huge. I like to take a lot of pics and change outfits hence why I have more clothes than I need. Oh yeah and his winter suit also.

I have these things in my bag; 
Toiletries, comfy clothes to wear home, chargers, Camera, batteries, some people have been packing briefs. I might do that, just because the mesh underwear aren’t very good. I am Also packing money and snacks. Your insurance card and paper work. And if your significant other will be there pack a few things for them as well. (Pjs, shirt, underwear..) 
For the baby; 
Car seat, blanket, a warm sweater(just Incase it’ll be cold) cute outfit to wear home, socks and maybe a few diapers, wipes. You want to pack enough but don’t want to over do it. I am personally going to pack light.

Snacks, camera, phone charger, comfy clothes, travel size toiletries, outfit for baby, more snacks, blanket for baby to cover her from hospital to car... I think that's pretty much it. The hospital provides those lovely oversize mesh underwear plus all sanitary items (I wouldn't want to ruin my own underwear anyway!), plus everything baby needs.

im packing a lot more than most  just cus my hospital keeps me for an automatic two nights after baby is born. and im bringing a couple onesies, leggings, jacket, small toiletries like travel sized baby powder, lotion etc. some small blankets for the car ride home, car seat (of course), socks, and i believe thats about it. if youre choosing to use a pacifier pack one of those. then for me im bringing aome soft t shirts, “granny panties,” always infinity pads (bc screw the mesh underwear lol comfy pants, my belly wrap, toiletries, chargers, slippers and my journal. im not a fan of robes but maybe pack that as well for yourself.
