New to OPKs! When do you ovulate when you get a positive OPK test? Please explain!

I know you ovulate for about 24 hrs. If you test with FMU how do you know if it's at the beginning or end of your LH surge? I could test it twice a day. But do you still have a high fertility percentage when the LH surge starts fading on an OPK test?
