Is it safe????

My newborn is a week old and she sleeps in her bouncer swaddled all day but at night I’m scared to let her sleep in the crib because she constantly rolls on to her side. Is it safe to let her sleep in the bouncer beside my bed for now???? I don’t want anything to happen to her.

I’m in no way shaming you, love but babies are supposed to sleep on a flat surface. Whether they sleep on their side, back, or tummy. If they sleep on an angle on their back, their heads are too heavy to lift up on their own and they can cut off their airways in their sleep and die because it has happened before. If she’s comfortable laying on her side in the crib, let her be. She might like being stretched out. Even if you have to check on her every half an hour to make sure she’s okay, it’s better than her sleeping in her bouncer because of her airways.

All my kids so far slept in the bassinet of a pack n play right next to my bed until they were about 3-4 months old. My youngest is 2 months and I will probably keep her next to me a little longer because she has reflux and I’m paranoid lol

Im a big proponent of doing whatever keeps your sanity. If she has been sleeping and you can get rest, go for it!
There are also inclined rocker bassinets made for all night sleep.

its due to the fact there air ways arent all the way open since the head isnt lying flat so can cause oxygen problems for bub

as far as I know they should be able to roll around a bit, to help all the muscles develop, stimulates the brain. Heard it can be dangerous for them to just lie on their backs all the time. 
but you know your baby best, test her and see what she likes best
