Mayah was born at 41 weeks and 6 days

Mayah was born at 41 weeks and 6 days! We planned to have a homebirth, but after no cervical change for several weeks we were consulted with by an OB/GYN that informed me I have an unfavorable cervix and if I was to wait to labor at home it would be very long and difficult and there is a great chance of morbidity. Our midwife was able to get us admitted as a patient to a FABULOUS OB/GYN. At the initial appointment we found out not only is my cervix unfavorable and I would need to be induced, but our baby was breech as well!!! This created a chance we may have to deliver her cesarean 😩. I was scheduled for a version (the doc manually moving baby in the womb down head first) it was successful and after 9 hrs of labor assisted by cervadix pitocin and an epidural Mayah arrived. Oh but not before we were escorted down to the first level of the hospital during a tornado😳. She made quite an entrance!
