How many moms smoked while breastfeeding?

Question

I was wondering should I pump enough to have a bit of a stash before smoking & solely give her that for a few hours or a day even ? Does weed affect breast milk at all? I have anxiety and depression. I really don’t want to get on any medications like zoloft, Xanax etc. but smoking does help quite a bit. Please help. It wouldn’t be an everyday thing, probably not even weekly smoking but here and there - would that make me a bad mommy?

I smoke medicinal marijuana and my daughter is growing great and meeting all of her milestones perfectly. Lots of people do and without any negative effects.

Taking care of yourself, staying on top of your anxiety and depression, makes you GREAT mommy! 
I smoked while breastfeeding, several times a week, but I never breast fed while I was stoned - I treated it like alcohol. It's likely that any drug you take is going to transfer to the baby through your milk. I can't imagine that prescription drugs are any better unless they've been studied thoroughly.

from what I'm aware of , due to the fat content of breast milk THC can be stored there.  Which makes it impossible to know how much is being passed along because it can just gradually build up,  it would be like giving the baby an edible . you really can't tell how much is in there . also if for whatever reason the baby was tested that would cause a positive result .  Just to be on the safe side perhaps,  you should probably wait until you are no longer breast feeding to smoke
