Does he do it and if yes how soon he started to do it?

Since the beginning we’ve been a team. He pays for stuff and i pay for stuff. We’ve been together for 4 years, living together for 2. We have a joint bank account and our money goes in and our bills come out  Our money is just that, our money. There is no “this is mine and this is yours” we’re a unit. I’m 39 weeks pregnant now and just stopped working. I’ll be a SAHM, so he will be the only person bringing in a paycheck but that doesn’t change the dynamic.

I’m finishing school and my partner has a stable job and is well paid. He pays more often but I think I do my fair share of splitting costs or paying for food etc.

We have a joint account that we put money into weekly for bills, mortgage and food. When we first got together I was unemployed so he paid for everything. I love being able to contribute now!

My husband began from day one.  I did what I could to help him but when we started dating I wasn’t working.  He bought me food, gave me rides, etc. When we got married it took some time for me to not feel weird when he said “oh you need some money” before I went to work.  I grew up poor and I’m not rich but ok. It’s very strange.

We are a family of 3, and my husband supports us. I work part time, and do the house hold stuff. I found work with my daughters school, so I’m home when she is. Family is to far away to babysit and we lucked out that we can survive on my husbands income. Right now I’m off for winter break with her, and financially we will be ok. He has always made more money than me, but every thing we make has always gone into the same account. We had 9 years before our daughter was born, and I worked more then, but he still kept us a float.

Everything right now is half. Been together 2 1/2 years and every time we go out I have to secretly pay because he believes strongly a man is supposed to pay for dinner and stuff.

I'm not really sure how to answer this. Does my husband have a job? Yes. Has he had a job through our relationship? Yes. Has he always paid my way? No. When we first started living together, we both contributed towards the bills. Once we got married and I got pregnant, I stayed home and he went to work. I stay home with our son now and he pays the bills, but that's because that's what works for us. Childcare would cost most of my paycheck so there's not a lot of point in my working right now. We've been together almost 7 years. If we didn't have a baby, I would be working and we would each be putting money in towards our bills.

My husband started right away, without me asking. He expressed from the beginning that he would take care of me.
